Blazing Fall Peach (Carolina Reaper)

It was a cold autumn day… I’ll start on that novel someday. Until then I’ll keep looking for hot sauce flavors that I just love, and this one I’m crushing hard on. Looking for a fruit to pair with Carolina Reapers required a trip to our local Fresh Thyme. And there I found white peaches that were just perfectly ripe. And what spice do you use in the fall with peaches? Pumpkin Pie Spice! Right? No? Ok, well I did and I’m so glad I did.

Just a little of that spice combo (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves) was like magic pixie dust in this sauce. Maybe that’s why so many retailers sprinkle it on everything they sell in the fall. Just don’t forget that it’s Blazing… this ain’t no desert hot sauce (hmmm… there’s an idea).
